When building a pool, the swimming pool underwater lights may not be necessary, but it can make your pool unique. A typical bulb has a lifespan of about 1,000 hours, and its protective casing lasts for years. However, the acidity and alkalinity of the pool water can corrode the clamps and screws, causing the swimming pool underwater lights to be less stable, and you may need to make a major replacement. When it comes to changing a light bulb, you may have a variety of options, but the most important thing is to find the perfect match. If you can't remember the bulb parameters, you can take a photo!

Before changing the swimming pool underwater lights, you need the following tools:
PAR56 light source, pool light pad, screwdriver, circuit tester, dry towel

Note: There is a high probability of electric shock or electric shock when replacing the bulb in the swimming pool, so for your own safety, please take all precautions. If you don't know much about safety, don't try DIY to change the swimming pool underwater lights.

Step one:
Find the electrical box and cut off all power to all pool areas. If you are not sure if you are all powered off, you can use a circuit tester. If a voltage is present, it will sound an alarm.

Step two:
You need a flat-blade screwdriver and pull out a screw embedded in the lampshade and the pool so that the lamp cover can be easily removed.
Step three:
Loosen the screw and remove the washer and lens from the inside of the lamp cover. Of course, if this is a more old-fashioned swimming pool underwater lights, you may have to remove more than 8 screws. Be sure to check the screws for corrosion. Keep the screws in good condition and prevent corrosion later. If your screw is already corroded, just change it.

Step four:
Check the water splashed when the washer and lens are removed. Use a dry towel to remove the old bulb from the lamp cover, then use another dry towel to slowly screw the new bulb into the lamp socket.

Step five:
Install the washer and lens back into the lamp cover. Fix the screw or replace the screw with a new one. Flood the underwater lights of the pool and check for air leaks. You may notice one or two bubbles, which is normal, but if it is a string and it is continuous, your installation is incorrect. Remove the washer and lens and reinstall.

Step six:
Fix the swimming pool underwater lights back to the original place. Experts suggest that before the swimming pool underwater lights are completely out of the water, do not turn on the power to prevent the bulb from overheating or shortening its life.
